Default Is is possible to transfer data from local profile to domain profi

I have some pcs that are currently in a workgroup. I would like to join them
to a domain. The users on the current computers have used thier workgroup
profiles for sometime. Is it possible to transfer all the data from the
workgroup profile to the domain profile? Can the Files and Settings Transfer
Wizard be used for this? Will that function within the parameters of the
Domain? Or would it be neccessary to backup all the data on each of the
workgroup pcs, then join the Domain then Restore the data from backup?

Joe.

You can use the Copy To function to mirror the profile. Logon at least once
after joining the domain. Then while logged on as another user (with
administrative rights) Control Panel|System|User Profiles, select your
userprofile, Copy To, Browse to
%systemdrive%\Documents and Settings\userprofile.domainname
Change "Permitted to use:" to "userprofile.domainname" OK.

There are several other ways of doing this as well but they are more
involved.
