Default Installation Problem

I am currently running XP pro. I want to format/partition and re-install
from my original disk. I am using a scsi cd-rw which will not allow me to
boot from the disk for some reason. I can run the setup from within exporer,
but the program loads setup files on the c" drive, and when i get to the blue
screen of the setup program and try to delete the NTFS partition, it tells me
I cannot while their are setup files on there. I have allocating the setup
files to another drive, but they always end up on the partition i want to
delete.

thank you for any assitance

I would try removing the partitions with FDISK from an older bootdisk
(see www.bootdisk.com) before starting setup at all. If you cannot
boot from the Windows-CD you may want to try booting from an USB
stick.

You can down load a set of floppy disk images that will allow you to
install from a non-bootable CD drive. You will however have to have
your SCSI drivers on another floppy so you can install them to allow
setup to see your CD.
