Hello everybody,
I am using Windows XP SP2 and from the middle of the nowhere my Canon scanner N1220U started to send a message related to TWAIN source and that the scanner was not properly connected. Since then I have been trying to fix the problem. Therefore, I went directly to the Device Manager and surprise!!!.. It didn't show any device, not even the tree. In a few words NOTHING!! just a blank space. Therefore, I reboot in safe mode. This time the Device Manager shows everything. My question is as follows: What can be the problem that in normal mode, Windows XP Device Manager doesn't show anything and in safe-mode is ok. I made a complete virus scanning with Norton Antivirus 2005, but I couldn't find anything. Please help me with this problem, because neither the scanner nor the Device manager work. Thanks Regards Edgar |

Check that the 'Plug and Play' service is running. Check Event Viewer for
