Hello, I wonder whether you can help. I am having to wipe my hard drive clean
every 7-10 days! AOL has informed me that for some reason windows is unable to run with AOL. , and despite having automatic updates from both windows and AOL, there appears to be no solution. I obviously cannot continue like this. I have spoken with Microsoft’s technical support and they have advised me 2 things. 1. There is no point in me buying a new copy of windows…my copy is up to date. 2. To contact you and to allow one of you to access my computer, to determine what the solution may be. AOL have further informed me that the problem is that my “Dial up Network( DUN)”and “Remote Access Server(RAS)” files become corrupted and therefore don’t function. Please note that earlier today I re-installed my AOL drivers for my modem, as my connection was starting to falter. In addition to these problems I am unable to start all programs or even to turn my computer off when the problem reaches its height. It is then that I usually format my drive. Please can you help? |

The best solution is one you may not want to hear. Dump AOL and go with another provider. As far as I'm concerned, AOL is the worst possible choice. -- Ken Blake - Microsoft MVP Windows: Shell/User Please reply to the newsgroup > I obviously cannot continue like this.
