I am experimenting with my router's "Access and Permissions" and one of the
fields is IP address There is the PC IP address and the router IP address's. I forgot the quick way to find my computers IP, and how do I find the IP of other PC's on my network? The instructions are breif and designed for people who allready know allot about networking and routers (Linksys) |

rwrede,
If you are talking about using the pc, it would be an ipconfig /all from a command prompt. If you are talking about reviewing it throught the DHCP table on your router it would depend on the model. Your best bet is to check the manufacturer's support site. If it is a Linksys device you will definitely find it there. I use, and recommend, AngryIP Scanner, and SoftPerfect Scanner. I've reviewed them in this article. <http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2005/05/essential-tools-for-desktop-and.html> http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2005/0...sktop-and.html Your router will have a log of ip addresses handed out by its DHCP server. If a computer uses a fixed ip address, or is assigned an address by another server, the router won't know about it. -- Cheers, Chuck, MS-MVP [Windows - Networking] http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/ Paranoia is not a problem, when it's a normal response from experience. My email is AT DOT actual address pchuck mvps org. |

The router maintains a list of all IP leases if you enabled the DHCP
service. Go into your routers page, something like 192.168.1.1 input the password and then go to the dhcp tab. In that page, there should be a button saying something like dhcp list or soemthing like that, press it and you will see the leases.
