My computer has a black screen in safe mode and in regular start up
i was unzipping a program i down loaded from protools website, the computer
mid way had a fatal error
and the the problem started
i am running xp pro on a p4 2gig ram set up
can some one tell me what to do?

possibly corrupted zip file or malicious zip exploiting your PC weakness..
what can you do?

Can you get it to go back on last known good config?
Any system backup

last resort boot from XP CD and try repair from there or some safe boot disk
and clean with av tools
