We have recently locked down our WinXP SP2 workstations such that the
end-user is only part of the 'User' ACL instead 'Administrator'. Our custom screen saver now halts with error "Create Work Directory Failed". The screen saver was orignially built via Macromedia Flash - a 3rd party application was then used to [essentially] export the .fla to a .scr file. Here is the tricky part... 1. The scr functions when executed as an admin (obviously) 2. The scr functions when executed via "Preview", but halts with triggered from the XP per the "Wait" time. 3. When the halt is reached, if the OK button is clicked, the scr then executes. I'm certain there is a sub-directory or registry key that needs to have extended access, but I cannot find it. Can anyone point me in a certain direction? |
