Default Pagefile Is Managed By Windows, DESPITE i made custom settings

Well, everything is in the title
i have 1024mb of ram
i set CUSTOM size of pagefile 200 - 200 mb (lowest - highest) value
or any other value
DESPITE that manual setting the pagefile size is 1.5GB
thats x1.5 of my RAM
if i delete the pagefile from DOS Windows recreates it STILL 1.5Gb
How the hell can i make the size 200 mb or anu other i wish

and by the way, i have two computers with same windows and configuration and
second machine's pagefile is behaving. and is exactly the need size
Thanx

First, the pagefile is not RAM - it is hard drive space used as a swap file.

Second, when you made both sizes the same did you remember to push the Set
button?

Third, if you have more than one hard drive the pagefile is better located
on a different drive and partition than the one that has Windows.

This sizing is to accomodate full memory dumps on system crashes,
which are written to the pagefile. Space in pagefile may also be used
for fast user switching. Ensure you have full memory dumps disabled,
and don't use fast user switching; see if that helps.
