Ant time I try to install anything that needs to place files inside documents
and settings I got the following error: Error 1324.The path Documents and Settings contains an invalid character. I really need to install Lightscribe support software for my new dvd burner and can't. I also tried to download music from Walmart.com and they need to install a proggie before I can do that and neither works because of this error. For security I have System Restore disabled or I would try that. Running XP pro sp2. |

Thanks but that didn't help. Although, it did help me to search futher and
this link : http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=325069 "Error 1324. The folder path 'Documents and Settings' contains an invalid character" error message when you install Office 2000" did help. But now I get halfway through installation of Lightscribe support and get this error: Internal error 2755. 1632, "Thorsten Matzner" wrote: > "Lightscribe" <Lightscribe@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote: > > >Ant time I try to install anything that needs to place files inside documents > >and settings I got the following error: Error 1324.The path Documents and > >Settings contains an invalid character. > > See "You receive an invalid character error message when you install > Office XP" (http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=292582). > |
