I'm trying to format a couple of 250GB hard disks using Disk Manager and it
is failing to complete after getting to 100%. There is no specific error message code it just can't seem to complete. This has happened on two different makes of disk and similar sizes have previously been formated and used without problems. No entries appear in event viewer to indicate what the problem could be. I'm using XP Home edition - fully patched as far as I can tell - with Norton System works as the AV and Firewall package. Any body got any ideas as to what I can try? |

Get a DOS boot disk from www.bootdisk.com and run FORMAT from a DOS prompt after you have started the machine from this disk. |
