Hi,
I hope you get to see this post as it drove me mad for over amonth until I managed to work out the cause. Right click on empty desktop space and select properties, then the "Appearace" tab. You need to have the "Windows and buttons:" set to "Windows XP style". Only then will the little picture be displayed on the Start Menu. I wanted the Windows on Windows classic style, so I could have "Maple" coloured windows, which I find easier on the eyes when viewing a monitor for a great length of time. Why changing this should change the properties of something on the Start Menu I don't know, since the Start Menu has it's own properties (which I had set to XP). Hope this helps! TK-M |
