Is there a way to hide the desktop wallpaper & replace it with a blank
desktop when locking the computer? I used the CTRL+ALT+DEL method and selecting "Lock Computer" but the wallpaper is still showing at the background. I tried looking for an option, but the only option I could find was using the Welcome screen. Which means basically disabling the CTRL+ALT+DEL locking method and I fear that it's not really a secure way to lock the computer. Anyone have any suggestions? |

The welcome screen logs on just like typing in a logon box. The only difference is the welcome screen tries to logon with a blank password first to see if you have a password or not (these things don't know what the password is).

Just to clear any confusion:
Whenever I lock the computer (using the Control+Alt+Delete method and pressing the "Lock Computer" button), my wallpaper is still showing. Is there a way to hide the wallpaper from the lock screen? |

Continue to use the Welcome Screen but instead of using the CTRL + ALT + DEL method just hit WinKey + L on your keyboard. -- Galen - MS MVP - Windows (Shell/User & IE) "You know that a conjurer gets no credit when once he has explained his trick; and if I show you too much of my method of working, you will come to the conclusion that I am a very ordinary individual after all." You could get your desired results if you are willing to change your desktop
to a blank background. Of course that means changing your current desktop wallpaper. It just comes down to which you prefer.
