For some reason, when I right-click on my screen, click "properties" and then
click "desktop", there are hundreds of photos available as background pictures. How can I delete these photos? Thanks, Jochen |

Windows XP fetches the image files from the following paths:
BMP Files from %Systemroot% (Windows folder) BMP, JPG, GIF, JPE, DIB, PNG, HTM files from the following locations: %Systemroot%\Web\Wallpaper %USERPROFILE%\My Documents\My Pictures %AppData%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer %Programfiles%\Plus!\Themes If you want to clear a file from that list, move the file away from the above locations. -- Ramesh, Microsoft MVP Windows XP Shell/User Windows XP Troubleshooting http://www.winhelponline.com "Jochen_E" <JochenE@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:289D2DD9-961D-4006-86FC-4ED464B1D7E6@microsoft.com... > For some reason, when I right-click on my screen, click "properties" and > then > click "desktop", there are hundreds of photos available as background > pictures.
