Does anyone know how to go about utalizing the OS to run a script
whenever a USB mass storage device (flash drive) or a CD/DVD type media is inserted into an XP machine? I am trying to initiate a McAfee virus scan on USB flash drives and/or CD media when it is inserted into the machine. It needs to be transparent to the user and cannot be changed by the user? Anyone have an idea of where to start on this? I have found a way to add an entry to the AutoRun system that XP has to execute a script. However, I have not found a way to default the autorun to my added entry for ALL users and not allow them to disable or modify the process. Thanks. ~Doug |
