You need to perform an clean *unattended* install to do this. Cannot move or rename the Documents and Settings folder http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=236621 nLite has options that allow you to place the "Documents and Settings" folder where ever you would like and create an unattended installation CD for you. nLite 1.0 RC1 http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4324.html There are other ways of making an unattended installation but I find nLite is really easy. I used this description on how to do it: http://www.winfaq.de/faq_html/tip1912.htm It's in german, so not very helpful if you don't speak the language, but I am sure you'll find plenty of other sites with similar information in english. |

Right click on "My Document" then select Properties from the context menu.
One of the buttons is labeled "Move". Click on this to select a new target for My Documents. |

Hi de Graff,
That would move the "My Documents" folder. Whereas, Daniel needs to move the "Documents and Settings" folder. -- Ramesh, Microsoft MVP Windows XP Shell/User Windows XP Troubleshooting http://www.winhelponline.com "de Graff" <rjdegraff@shaw.ca> wrote in message news:eHF2kvW2FHA.1188@TK2MSFTNGP12.phx.gbl... > Right click on "My Document" then select Properties from the context menu. > One of the buttons is labeled "Move".
