i Upgraded my friend's machine from XP Home to XP Pro. One of the
things I always do when fixing/upgrading a machine is cleanup the start menu when the user has alot of programs that display under All Programs. When I attempted to do this on his machine I got an error that said CANNOT ADD OR REPLACE <foldername>. When I tried moving some shortcuts around (like moving Windows Messenger to Accesories) folder it creates an invalid shortcut item in the folder. I thought it was because I installed TweakUI powertoy, so I uninstalled that but that didnt correct the problem. I've always been able to edit start menu items usiing an Administrator logon. Any suggestions?? |
