Default Task Priorities

I've just found an option in task manager where one can give priorities to
processes. I find that a reboot erases all of the changes. How can one make
them permanent or is there a reason why they should not be made permanent?
Please advise

You can force a particular priority with the START command. Type

start /?

for details
