As user X I have managed (how I forgot) to move folder "My documents" to
another drive (d:\My documents\) I found out that all other users on the pc now also point to drive D when selecting the folder "My documents". How can I change this, so for instance user Gast folder "My documents" points again to C:\C:\Documents and Settings\Gast\My documents\ |

One button there is for moving the folder. There's another button that will move documents back to the default location of C:\Documents and Settings\Gast\My Documents\ NOTE that there is only one "C:\" in that path, not two). Advise caution... Since *everyone* is using D:, XP may try to copy *all* files from D: to your documents folder. If there's room on C:, no problem but you'll have sort through the results and dump their files back on to D: An alternative plan: Create a folder for each user on D: Sort the files to each user's folder. Then using Properties of "My Documents," change the target path to D:\<folder name selected for user currently logged on> When doing the properties, replace the <> marks and text in between them with the name of the folder created for that particular user. -- Sharon F MS-MVP ~ Windows Shell/User |
