I'm using a ATI Radeon 9550 video card in my MCE computer... For some stupid
reason, ATI has decided to put a shortcut on the Desktop/Explorer context menu. I never use this and want it gone, but there is no option to remove it. Does anyone know how I can remove this from the context menu? Google didn't provide anything that applies. Thanks! |

Noozer,
Open Regedit.exe and navigate to: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\Background\shellex\Con textMenuHandlers Backup the key to a .REG file. Select the ATI context-menu item and delete it. Note that the only default item is "New". If you see any other sub-key in the location above, they may have been added by a third-party software. Close Regedit.exe Context Menu Handlers - More information: Manage the context-menu entries for files, folders, drives and Namespace objects: http://windowsxp.mvps.org/context_folders.htm http://windowsxp.mvps.org/slowrightclick.htm -- Ramesh, Microsoft MVP Windows XP Shell/User Windows XP Troubleshooting http://www.winhelponline.com "Noozer" <dont.spam@me.here> wrote in message news P3kf.17893$Gd6.15921@pd7tw3no...> I'm using a ATI Radeon 9550 video card in my MCE computer...
