I sent the last message in error. I was trying to do what you suggested. But
when I had to close OE, I clicked Send instead of Save
I'll try again

I think it may not have been sent. We had a power failure here in
Canberra during a very bad thunderstorm. Maybe I thought I sent it
when the power came back but actually didn't - the power failed about
4 times in 2 hours

When I renamed it, I closed OE (this was where I sent the message in error)
and re-opened it.
The folder in OE "Layer postioning" was empty. There was a new file named
positoning.dbx created in C:\Documents and Settings\Trevor\Local
Settings\Application
Data\Identities\{83FDBF62-3205-46F3-BAE6-6D4B94BB0594}\Microsoft\Outlook
Express
This folder is empty (viewed with OE Viewer) but positioning.db_ has the
original contents
