Hi
My login name on my computer is "Ebbe" and I have always had my name-/user-directory "C:\Documents and Settings\Ebbe" After problems with my computer, it was necessary to reinstall Windows. Again I entered my login name as Ebbe, but this time Windows created the directory "C:\Documents and Settings\Ebbe.PC-EBBE". (The name of the computer is "PC-EBBE") I added an other user "Admin" and Windows created a directory "C:\Documents and Settings\Admin.PC-EBBE". Why does Windows suddenly add ".PC_EBBE" after the username? It has never done this before. How can I change the name of the directory back to "C:\Documents and Settings\Ebbe"? In the registry-database, there is a lot of references to "C:\Documents and Settings\Ebbe.PC-EBBE". I am using XP home SP2 |
