To anyone that might know.....
I posted an answer to 'antonthegreat' (see subject). Tonight when I
looked at the thread, I noticed there were attachments to my post. There
are two .gif's that I did NOT attach to the post! I checked the post from
my sent box and it does not contain attachments and I made a complete search
of my machine and there are no files by those names! Can someone tell me
how these could have been placed on my post? In the meantime, I would
stress caution to anyone opening my post....don't open the .gif's! I didn't
put them there!
Heirloom, old and hope someone has an
answer

Don't panic. You copied instructions from someplace like Help and Support
(or whatever) and the copied area had special formatting. The attachment
has the original formatting and the stripped text is in the version
displayed in the message window. Not unusual. I had the exact same sort of
thing ten minutes ago when I replied to a poster with some instructions on
using the Convert command to covert a FAT32 drive to NTFS.

Thank you, Colin. I did, in fact, copy/paste the instructions to save a
little typing time. Odd, however, that my 'sent message' folder did not
reflect the attachments. I will be more careful in the future and offer my
apologies for the inadvertant posting of useless attachments.
