Default AutoAdminlogon = 1 => Reboot is OK, re-logon not.

hi,

We have changed our machines (XP Prof) to Log On automatically at reboot
(AutoAdmin = 1),
which works fine when the pc's reboot.

But, when we log off, the pc does not log on automatically again, this is
the case only after rebooting the machine.
What has to be changed in the registry so the machines log on automatically
as well after a simple logoff ?

None. Don't log out.

You are incorrect.

I have seen a registry entry that allows what the OP just said, or was it a
security edit? I cannot recall for sure where I saw it.. but there IS a way!
Perhaps someone else can help.

It can be done, because we have one or two pc's that actually do what we
want here,
trouble is I have compared both registries for hours now, and I cannot find
it....
Our IT department also says that it's possible but they haven't found it yet
too...

here you go: (tell me if this solves your problem)

http://64.233.183.104/search?q=cache...r+logout&hl=el

By default, Windows 2000 will return a logon prompt after logging out. To
force autologon when a user logs off, add:

ForceAutoLogon:Reg_SZ = 1

You are welcome... I just like proving people wrong whenever they imply
that this or that is "impossible" just as David Candy did.
