Hello,
I know that XP can dispay the icon of a bmp file so that the icon shows what the actual image is. Is there a way to add this functionality for a JPG file in the tile view? If that is possible, is it then possible to have it display an icon for a zip file as the image of the first jpg inside the zip file? What about rar? XP can already treat archives as folders so this extended functionality shouldnt be too difficult right? The ultimate goal I have is to navigate to a folder full of archives of images, and have the icon for each archive show the first image in that archive. I think this may be possible, but I have no idea of how to go about it. Thanks, Michael Kantor |

You'll need to become a shell programmer.
