As I recall, my Start Menu/Programs used to display icons for the different
programs, but recently they call changed to the generic folder icon, which means it's harder to find what I want. Is there a way to get them to display the same kind of icon that shows on the desktop? |

You could try rt clicking on the All Programs Shortcut Icon you want to
change and select Properties>Customize>Change Icon. If, as I, you have hundreds, good luck. I am almost positive a utilitie program allows to do such repairs very easily, but I must admit, I cannot remember which one. I will keep looking. One option might be to run a registry repair program which might detect this problem. But what did you do that might have caused this to happen? -- John Doue |

Thanks for the suggestions. I think I'll try Tweak UI first.

Try this tool to categorize your program icons.
StartEx, a program launcher, helps you categorize your programs with different colors, so you can find and launch them more quickly. Size: 410K, OS: windows 2000/xp/vista HomePage: http://www.zalentino.com Download:http://www.zalentino.com/startex/zal...startex_en.jsp |
