When Win XP Home boots on my PC, I get no user login choice. Previous
to Win Update SP2 the PC booted direct to Windows Desktop. Here is what I have done to resolve with no luck. 1. In Windows Mode. Performed 2 Cntr/Alt/Delete - Comes to the standard login and lists my username but requires a password that I am not able to remember. 2. Tried boot to safe mode and I get the same thing...no user name and 2 cntrl/alt/deletes brings me to the standard login requiring a password in safe mode. 3. Tried safe mode and "Last Known Working Config" - - Did not work. So, I am stuck at the XP Welcome Screen and not able to get into the desktop. I would appreciate any help anyone can give. THANKS |

Could it be that you did not have a password on either your account or
the administrator account? Try this site: http://www.petri.co.il/forgot_admini...r_password.htm "PCMDPRES" <steve.zeller@rrd.com> wrote in message news:1135171517.876227.248570@g49g2000cwa.googlegr oups.com... | When Win XP Home boots on my PC, I get no user login choice. Mungo: Thanks for replying so quickly. I believe that I did NOT set
either a Admin or User PW on the system. I did see this sight while searching for a solution. I will investigate further. If anyone else has any suggestions I would welcome them. Thanks again Mungo !!! |

Munga and ALL : SUCCESS !!! I ran the XP repair function and got my
system log in back. I did lose my saved emails, but they needed to be dumped anyway. All my URL's etc made it thru and I was able to access everything. Took about 30 mins for the Repair to run. Best 30 minutes I have ever spent !!! Happy Holidays PCMDPres |

Now, if you have a floppy, make a Forgot NOT my Password floppy and
stick-pin it to the wall. "PCMDPRES" <steve.zeller@rrd.com> wrote in message news:1135270433.384274.88850@g43g2000cwa.googlegro ups.com... | Munga and ALL : SUCCESS !!!
