No, if you want Windows XP in English, you need to buy Windows XP in
English. The Multilingual User Interface can allow an English version to change to another language, but the MUI has limited availability: http://www.microsoft.com/globaldev/D...qs/MUIFaq.mspx -- Jupiter Jones [MVP] http://www3.telus.net/dandemar http://www.dts-l.org "blind cyclops" <blindcyclops@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:6AF0FA55-1B7F-4E94-8E0C-C491E0080881@microsoft.com... > Hi People, Is it possible to change the language on a portugese version of > windows xp to english? Only by installing two versions of Windows, one in each language. -- Ken Blake - Microsoft MVP Windows: Shell/User Please reply to the newsgroup |

There are 24 fully localized versions of Windows XP Professional
There are 33 languages available in the Windows XP Professional Multilingual User Interface Pack, which is an add-on to the English version of Windows XP Professional Windows XP Pro MUI is currently available as OEM, the MUI add-on for Window XP Pro is only available for the English Localize version and only to corporate etc, licensing. So the only way to get one or two PC's running MUI Win XP Pro is to order them from OEM venders such as DELL or order the Multilingual Win XP Pro OEM and role your own. http://www.microsoft.com/technet/pro...te/muiovw.mspx "Jupiter Jones [MVP]" <jones_jupiter@hotnomail.com> wrote in message news:Opo5a$mCGHA.3876@tk2msftngp13.phx.gbl... | No, if you want Windows XP in English, you need to buy Windows XP in | English. | | The Multilingual User Interface can allow an English version to change to | another language, but the MUI has limited availability: | http://www.microsoft.com/globaldev/D...qs/MUIFaq.mspx | | -- | Jupiter Jones [MVP] | http://www3.telus.net/dandemar | http://www.dts-l.org | | | "blind cyclops" <blindcyclops@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message | news:6AF0FA55-1B7F-4E94-8E0C-C491E0080881@microsoft.com... | > Hi People, Is it possible to change the language on a portugese version of | > windows xp to english?
