This is the same problem i am experiencing after a virus attack, but i am to
simple to understand your explanation on the google groups link. I've found the "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Po licies\ActiveDesktop -and- HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Pol icies\ActiveDesktop" but i am unsure what to do with these now, any more assistance? I am experiencing the same problem as the original user.
I dont know how to "*Backup the keys to separate REG files*", but just deleting the ones you have detailed has solved the problem. is the fact i did not back up the reg files going to cause any problems?
