I actually know what file it's looking for, and it is not part of 98. However one of the other apps install it in the 98 resource kit. This is because it is a common file and people don't distribute it as you most likely got it from somewhere else.
I'm sure if you post the error message people will tell you what to do. -- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Goodbye Web Diary http://margokingston.typepad.com/har....html#comments ================================================= "DW" <frommer@bootmaker.com> wrote in message news:embEftNEGHA.3856@TK2MSFTNGP12.phx.gbl... > All I can figure then is that cliptray needs certain files that are integral > to Win98 but not in WinXP. David,
Just in case you or anyone else is interested, I got cliptray from the Win98 Resource kit working on WinXP98. It really wasn't a problem and when I got to thinking about it, I realized that it is pretty much a stand-alone app--no registry entries, nada. I had to copy some system files from Win98 but since they have no same-name analogues in WinXP, I figure they should be accessed only for clip tray's use. Anyway...it looks good, works good and I'm happy. thank you. DW In the High Desert of Central Oregon |
