Hi,
I wonder if you guys and gals can help me, I bought 'Brothers in Arms' earned in blood the other day (sunday) and have not been able to load it, I have tried nearly every microsoft trouble shooting and still no joy. I have XP home. Previously I had bought 'medal of honor' 'pacific assualt' and this would not load either. I can however hear the disc/dvd attempting to start up when loaded in the machine, I have also attempted to load a DVD which has previously worked, but no joy. When I click on the device, it claims to be working and a sign comes up saying insert Disc/DVD, even tho it's already in there!! Please help, I'm desperate to play it!! Many thanks |

Megagames.com Gamecopyworld.com gameburnworld.com Go to these places and get a Nodvd patch. Just replace the exe with the nocdexe. Save the original in a saved folder ![]() All should be sweet then. Though i think you will not be able to play online with the nodvd patch. Hope this helps. You have to place it where the original .exe is do run thegame. Find it and replace it. Just save it first. Right click on the shortcut on the desktop and slect properties the one at the bottom. then look at target this will tell you where the ..exe is copy that to somewhere safe. Then just copy the nodvd over the top should say ido you want to replace this file wiiththisone. Say yes and all is done. Just go back to the shortcut on the desktop and run thegame shoudl work fine now ![]() Iam sorry can't make it any less unterstanbdable. ![]() Bye. >You have to place it where the original .exe is do run thegame.
> >Find it and replace it. Just save it first. If the program did not install at all because the drive cannot read the DVD, having a replacement exe will not help at all. You need to test the DVD in another drive/computer to check that they are not defective. If they read fine then you need a replacement drive. Unless the DVD runs and install but from what you say the drive cannot read them at all? === All the best! Katy Pluta |

Thank-you Katy and Alex,
Nothing will play on the DVD part of my tower, although it is making some whirring sounds! I'm going to run a cleaning disk through it and if that fails get a replacement drive, forgive me for being stupid, but would the replacement generally mean that they take the back of the tower and just replace the internal DVD drive? Sorry for being a technophobe!! Soren |
