My pogo games just stopped playing one day. All the web sites i've found say
go to Java advanced tab and click on applet tag support and make sure both boxes are checked. When I try to check Mozilla/Netscape box it tells me I don't have them properly installed or I don't have sufficient permissions to change the settings. I know both that both are installed. Please tell me how to fix this. |

Hi izzylover,
"don't have sufficient permissions to change the settings" It's possible that you're not using an account with Administrator priviledges. You can verify your account type via Control Panel > User Accounts. -- Cheers, *Windows_XP_MVP_Shell/User* Jimmy S. http://mvp.support.microsoft.com Visit my MSN Zone.com and Gaming Help Site: http://mvps.org/nibblesnbits MS Games Help and Support Center: http://support.microsoft.com/?pr=gms My advice is donated "AS IS" without warranty; nor do I confer any rights. __________________________________________________ _______ izzylover Wrote: ================= | I've tried other games beside pogo with java and they won't work unless | shockwaves available and I use that I've tried uninstalling and then | reinstalling but that didn't work I just keep coming back to that same error | message that says I don't have sufficient permissions to change the settings | and I have no idea how to fix that Thanks again | "izzylover" wrote: | || My pogo games just stopped playing one day. Hi izzylover,
I suspect a software conflict might be causing this issue. If so, startup your computer in Safe Mode by pressing F8 during the bootup process, and then select "Safe Mode with Networking". Once the desktop loads, you can install Java and find more help tips at this webpage: http://java.com/en/download/help/pogo.jsp -- Cheers, *Windows_XP_MVP_Shell/User* Jimmy S. http://mvp.support.microsoft.com Visit my MSN Zone.com and Gaming Help Site: http://mvps.org/nibblesnbits MS Games Help and Support Center: http://support.microsoft.com/?pr=gms My advice is donated "AS IS" without warranty; nor do I confer any rights. __________________________________________________ _______ izzylover Wrote: ================= | Hey Jimmy I checked that and my account's marked as computer administrator | | "Jimmy S." wrote: | || Hi izzylover, || || "don't have sufficient permissions to change the settings" || || It's possible that you're not using an account with Administrator priviledges. || You can verify your account type via Control Panel > User Accounts. || || -- || Cheers, *Windows_XP_MVP_Shell/User* || Jimmy S. http://mvp.support.microsoft.com || || Visit my MSN Zone.com and Gaming Help Site: http://mvps.org/nibblesnbits || MS Games Help and Support Center: http://support.microsoft.com/?pr=gms || My advice is donated "AS IS" without warranty; nor do I confer any rights. || __________________________________________________ _______ || || izzylover Wrote: || ================= ||| I've tried other games beside pogo with java and they won't work unless ||| shockwaves available and I use that I've tried uninstalling and then ||| reinstalling but that didn't work I just keep coming back to that same error ||| message that says I don't have sufficient permissions to change the settings ||| and I have no idea how to fix that Thanks again ||| "izzylover" wrote: ||| |||| My pogo games just stopped playing one day.
