I have Windows XP home edition and I'm having trouble getting this game
to work. I can install the game just fine but when i go to run it I either get the box asking me to put disc 1 in the cd drive but there is no cursor or any way for me to interact with the box to let it know that disc 1 is already in the cd drive or I get just the cursor frozen in the middle of the screen. I've tried using DOSBox to load the game but I can't get DOSBox to read my cd drive. (A box pops up asking me to put disc 1 in the cd drive, I'm able to use the cursor here to click on the ok button but it just pops back up asking me to put disc 1 in the cd drive). I realize this is an older game (meant for Windows 95 and ms-dos) but if anyone can give me any help with this I'd appreciate it. -- craig |

Hi craig,
Before we begin troubleshooting the issue, if you have more than one DISC player (CD/DVD/CDRW/DVDR/ETC) in your system, I've seen this type of problem resolved by simply using the other DISC player. :-) You might be successfull if you start the game from the CD setup menu. -- Cheers, *Windows_XP_MVP_Shell/User* Jimmy S. http://mvp.support.microsoft.com Visit my MSN Zone.com and Gaming Help Site: http://mvps.org/nibblesnbits MS Games Help and Support Center: http://support.microsoft.com/?pr=gms My advice is donated "AS IS" without warranty; nor do I confer any rights. __________________________________________________ _______ craig Wrote: ================= | I have Windows XP home edition and I'm having trouble getting this game | to work.
