When I try to apply the patch for airport Tycoon 3 the installer doesn't
finish and displays the following message: 1628: Failed to complete installation I have tried to download the patch from various sites (also in various sizes) but the error remains. Then I did a google (Installer Error Messages) and came up with this site: http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de...r_messages.asp Another google (Windows Installer) came up with this result: _http://support.microsoft.com/?id=893803 _and I downloaded the latest version which applied just fine. The details of the error from the MSDN library is as follows: *1628* Invalid or unknown table specified If you get the message error "Error 1628: Failed to complete script based install" and followed the instruction above and it didn't resolve the problem and you just create fresh installation packet by using InstallShield tool, please disable "Cache installation on local machine" option during the installation packet create process. * * Here come the questions: where can I get hold of the 'Install Shield Tool' and will it be possible to modify to the existing installation packet? --- avast!
