Everytime I go online in the fifa game it asks to download recommended
patches if you dont you cant play online. I tryed downloading the required
patches but it freezes after 10mins. I tryed even to register the game or get
support off EA Sports but it goes to Fifa2006 webpage. Therefore i cannot go
online. Does anyone reading this have Fifa2005 and know this problem send me
some help. Thank you!

Are you downloading the patch from within the game? Is that when it
freezes?

I've just spent about 10 minutes going over the net looking for the patch
standalone and nothing so far.

Hi, yes it freezes during downloading in the game. Its annoying not able to
play online, does it freeze like mine in the game when downloading patches.
Did you try ea sports? All I get is Fifa06 when i typed Fifa05!

I've been all over the EA & Fifa fansites and couldn't find the "patch" only
lots of references to mods, which are annoying being called patches!
Looking on their FTP site, I can only find patches for every Fifa game other
than 2003 & 2005.

This is their actual support page http://tinyurl.com/aqnw8 for Fifa 2005.

Since there's virtually no sign of a patch for Fifa itself, it's probably
downloading one for the EASO, the online bit. In which case there's the
troubleshooting guide at http://tinyurl.com/dnufz *fingers crossed*.

I don't have Fifa myself, I'm more of a Pro Evolution Soccer man. 8-)
