Default Games that run in “exclusive” full screen mode and logical firewal

many games run in “exclusive” full screen mode, and they present a problem
with logical firewalls such as Norton or ZoneAlarm. How can I force a game
to run in a window?

Hi TRD,

Some games will accept CTRL+Enter or ALT+Enter to toggle between
Full Screen <> Window mode, other games require a switch to be added
to the shortcut for the program i.e.: c:\proga~1\game\game.exe -window

You might be able to grant access rights to the executable before launching
the game somewhere within the application settings applet of your firewall,
otherwise, press ALT+TAB when you launch the game to tab to desktop.

Thanks, I was able to get the games to run using the switch. It allowed me to
see the alerts that were comming up from ZoneAlarm once I approved the alerts
I was able to remove the switch and run in full screem again
