Default Anti-virus

WinXP.Sp2 Home....AMD Athlon3000 1.81 GHz, 512MB RAM.Which is the best
anti-virus to use that will not slow computer down too much? Now using
trial version of AVG Professonal. Also got Zone Alarm Pro. Always used
Norton with the Utilities...I did like the Utilites part. Need to buy
something but want the best protection. And something that won't make it
so slow for starting up. Suggestions?

AVG AntiVirus FREE Edition:
http://free.grisoft.com/

I've been using it for years. I love it. It uses roughly half the memory
that Norton does. It also has all of the features that you'll want,
including real-time protection, automatic scans and right-click scanning
options within Windows Explorer.

I have been using Avast for a number of years, without problems. It's a free
utility for non commercial home use and can be found at;
