Default Media Center Receiver Service crashes

I have had to disable Media Center Receiver Service (ehRecvr) as it
constantly stops and starts and hogs 50% of my cpu. I can no longer use the
TV or Radio function in Media Center, beacuse it says my TV Tuner card has a
fault. I also get an error message "ehRecvr has developed a problem and needs
to close". I have a P4 3.4ghz HT processor with 1gig of RAM and a Hauppauge
WIN TV88 tuner card. Please could someone help me?
