Hi,
I'm trying to record sound using the Sound Recorder. However, the sound wave doesn't show anything. My speakers work great, as I can play cd's, mp3s, etc. But the sound will not record or show any activity. Does anyone know what is causing this? Thanks, -S |

What kind of sound are you trying to record?
The speakers are not a microphone. They can't pick up sounds. Eric, PC Buyer Beware! http://www.pcbuyerbeware.co.uk/ "sfpace74" wrote: > Hi, > > I'm trying to record sound using the Sound Recorder. Hi,
I was trying to record some sound files. Does this require a microphone? On Windows ME I was able to record sound through my speakers. Thanks, -S "Eric" wrote: > What kind of sound are you trying to record? > > The speakers are not a microphone. Either they had a microphone installed in the speakers(doubtful) OR you
Selected a feature of the soundcard software called "Record what I hear". That feature is NOT part of Windows XP, but is specifically included with some soundcards bonus software. You would need a sound card that supports that feature AND install the bonus software that makes it work. Try Creative Labs website for more info. sfpace74 wrote: > Hi, > > I was trying to record some sound files.
