Hi rock thanks for responding but I cannot get to the point of doing this
because I cannot log on at all ---so far as I know there is no other account for me to log onto. Hence I cannot event complete step one ( log on to an account that is a member of the Administrators group) of the instructions you posted. Do you have another suggestions as how to by pass and then resolve? Thanks "Rock" wrote: > Vijai-novice wrote: > > > Hello All, > > > > I am running Windows XP pro w/sp2 and when I recently switched on my PC and > > tried to logon I got the following message > > > > windows could not log you on because of an account restriction > > > > I have not made any changes etc..., my account is an administrator account, > > and I cannot figure out what happened or how to correct this. please advise. > > Error Message: Unable to Log You on Because of an Account Restriction, > Windows Could Not Find c:\windows\system32\migpwd.exe > http://support.microsoft.com/default...&Product=winxp > > -- > Rock > MS MVP Windows - Shell/User > > |
