Hi,
Winlogon.exe errors are frequently caused by the netsky virus. Symantec's netsky removal tool: http://securityresponse.symantec.com...oval.tool.html Many viruses hide themselves from detection, and therefore removal, in normal mode. Scanning and removal procedures should be done in Safe mode to minimize the chances of something slipping past you. How to start in Safe mode: http://www.rickrogers.org/fixes.htm#Safe%20mode -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Associate Expert - WindowsXP Expert Zone www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone Windows help - www.rickrogers.org "Tsuniper-X" <TsuniperX@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:379A312A-2013-4BA2-8B5B-6FD202555802@microsoft.com... > *Computer restarts unexpectedly... > -Especially while I'm using IExplorer, my computer just restarts and after > i > log on, an error message by "winlogon.exe" pops up. i have encountered an > annoying "Spyware Infection" screen yesterday, which was solved by > removing > the SpySheriff with McAfee AntiSpyware and Norton Antivirus. > > But some viruses weren't able to even deleted by Norton Antivirus. i > wonder > why.
