Hi,
The first part, verifying the DMI data pool, is just a function of the system BIOS and has nothing to do with the problem. The problem is the boot sector, it is either corrupt or is not being recognized, so the boot strap is passing to the third boot item (the CD drive). Sometimes, running an fixboot from the Recovery Console will resolve this. -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Associate Expert - WindowsXP Expert Zone www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone Windows help - www.rickrogers.org "Chris" <Chris@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:25C305A8-2D1A-4A67-962D-7A85C681E67C@microsoft.com... > During the boot sequence it says verifing DMI pool data and then it says > boot > from CD.
