Default Explore in XP

We did a cleanup and now some file names in Explore are blue. What does this
mean? It seems to be only under drive C and some of the files under it. What
has happened. Have we lost files?

It indicate that the files are compressed to reduce disk space usage.

No you haven't lost files. Unused files are compressed and shown in
blue font. Green means encrypted. They are still accessible.
