My Dad's computer is same problem, only I can't fix by above method. I'm
pretty expert. It's latest sp2. I've tried uninstalling and even cleaning out every reference to apple or itunes. no good. Application shows as a process but i get no window. when i try to kiil the process, it just does not do it, but no errors. When i try to shutdown, after awhile, i get a dialog saying that a process won't end. it's name is binsary gibberis (squares int he window title, but the icon is itunes.). Any ideas?
