Is any one help me to buy a UPS for 6 PCs with 21" Monitors, because I don't
have idea to check out the real power consumption of a 21" monitor for UPS load capacity. Shaik |

You can try going to one of the major vendors of UPS and they have wizards
that will walk you through the process. You may want to do it for just 1 machine rather than all running off one UPS, otherwise the price may be a little shocking. Here is a link for APC, just as an example: http://www.apc.com/tools/ups_selector/index.cfm Good luck. Hi,
Check with the manufacturer of the monitor, as different styles (CRT, Flat Screen, LCD) will have different power consumption rates. -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Associate Expert - WindowsXP Expert Zone www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone Windows help - www.rickrogers.org "Shaik" <znmstyles@cyber.net.pk> wrote in message news:e4etoUTDGHA.984@tk2msftngp13.phx.gbl... > Is any one help me to buy a UPS for 6 PCs with 21" Monitors, because I > don't have idea to check out the real power consumption of a 21" monitor > for UPS load capacity. > > Shaik > |

Look at the back of the monitor..find out how many AMPS it consumes.
Take take that and multiply by 110, and then .80. This gives you a rough estimate of the number of watts it will take. The back of my monitor says 1.0A 1.0 * 110 * .80 = 88 Watts Joel ============================= Remote Control Software For Windows http://www.intelliadmin.com |

Ask in a hardware group, ask the folks who make the UPS, ask the manufacturer of the monitors. But it's not an XP OS issue. -- Rock MS MVP Windows - Shell/User |
