Ok, I may have stumbled on what is causing the issue, it is not a Windows
issue but my switch box. I recently was given a new switch box for my PC's at work and it seems a Belkin Omniview Pro2 FTDA104T is not passing it correctly. One of my machines is a laptop with Server 2003 and if I use the laptop keyboard it works, but if I use my external (goes through the switch box) it does not work. The cables I am using are USB not PS2. I hope to get some response out of Belkin, but just thought I would post my findings and thank all who have contributed their thoughts.
