Printer conflict.

Installed software from cd for Epson Picturemate 100 printer. Followed
instructions carefully - connected usb and powered on when prompted
etc. However during installation baloon appeared at bottom of screen -
"Found new hardware Epson Picturemate 100" and stays on , also the
Found New Hardware Wizard window opens and stays on with message -
"There was a problem installing this hardware - Epson Picturemate 100 -
an error occured during the installation of this device - the system
cannot find the file specified"
Printer and printer software is running perfectly but whenever the
printer is power on the above messages reappear and stay on screen and
will not close. Power off printer and messages disappear,Power on and
they reappear. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times with
same result. Any help in sorting this annoyance would be appreciated.

Have you tried asking Epson?
