I've used Norton for years and have no problems other than the extended
bootup time for it to load all of the Norton resources I use. (Anti-virus;
Internet Security; Anti-Spam)

When Norton products are installed into hardware and software environments
that aren't too messy, boot-up times aren't that much longer than systems
without Norton software installed :-)

How times have changed! The first time I heard that, it was "Lassie,
Rin-tin-tin, and IMS."

An IBM database management system for mainframe computers.

See http://www-306.ibm.com/software/data/ims/

One can only hope and pray that Microsoft
will one day come up with software
as scalable and reliable and potent as IMS.

Perhaps they will see the need for it
once Gates leaves to take over at Berkshire Hathaway.

I seriously doubt it, though, as I suspect that
most of the developers they have in-house
have no concept of global telecommunications processing
and its requirements.

Most of them would probably question your sanity
when you tell them that 5 nines is a MUST.
