I have a Sandisk "Plays for Sure" and I am having the same problem as
everyone else. USB device not recognized. I have XP media edition with SP2. The 2 MP3 players worked fine on my parents computer. I have talked to HP - installed some hotfix that was supposed to work - then they had me re-install my usb ports - nothing has worked. I see that numerous people are having this problem - it seems to be related to the SP2 & maybe the XP media edition. IS MICROSOFT LOOKING INTO WHAT THE PROBLEM IS? I am very frustrated! I have seached database etc. and there are no answers.
