Default Outlook express

I tried to delete my outlook express by going to control panel and add/remove
programs but it says there is 0.0mb even though it is on my pc. The reason I
want to delete it is that I have just had a virus sober.y@mm..and even though
my virus program says it has deleted it there must be something in the
registry or outlook express that continues to send email and I receive it as
non-reply which has been blocked by bitdefender.

Hi

Outlook Express can't be uninstalled - it is part of Windows.

Outlook Express is part of Internet Explorer and Internet Explorer is part
of Windows. You can't delete it.

You can *remove* Outlook Express but doing so doesn't delete your OE store
(http://www.insideoe.com/files/store.htm#storemain), where I assume your AV
is finding Sober.Y.

I'm having a problem visualising why you are receiving email from you
Outlook Express.
