my partners laptop is running xp pro. it has a 40Gb hard drive of wich

I looked and found that the machine had come pre loaded with everything imaginable filling the hard drive. as she did not have a lot of data or programmes on the computor I started a fresh and formatted the drive. aftr re installing everything she needs the system 32 folder is less than 700M. alls well but thanks. forresloon |

for future reference, it was probably a trojan/xdcc hack.. google xdcc
bot or something like that you will get the idea, what normally happens is someone finds a windows exploit that gives complete control of the computer to them, then they normally hide a ftpserver and files in %windir%/system32/folder where folder is hidden.
